The main function of a pulley is to transmit movement efficiently while minimizing rotating masses. The aim is to reduce these masses to improve the system’s dynamic response, limiting mechanical stresses, and increasing overall reliability.
To achieve this, advanced technologies such as metal forming and the use of sheet metals are employed, allowing the production of lightweight components without compromising the required mechanical strength.
These processes make it possible to optimize weight, improve balancing, and ensure high performance even under the most demanding operating conditions.
A technical pulley produced through metal forming benefits from the hardening of the material, which increases fatigue resistance. This phenomenon allows the product’s weight to be minimized obtaining the original performance targets.
Agla Power Transmission is able to manufacture technical pulleys using two different materials: steel and aluminum.
