TORSIONAL VIBRATION
VISCO DAMPER
Mounted on the crankshaft, the Visco Torsional Vibration Damper absorbs the vibrations generated by the combustion process, protecting engine components, improving efficiency and durability, and reducing fuel consumption, emissions, and noise while ensuring smoother power delivery.
A viscous torsional damper uses the resistance of a viscous fluid (typically silicone) to dissipate the energy of torsional vibrations that develop in rotating shafts.
Viscous dampers are used in high‑performance and/or engines, where greater damping requirements call for a high‑performance product.
Essential for preserving the life of key engine components, Agla Power Transmission specializes in the production of viscous dampers.
It is a complex component whose correct functionality depends on:

To meet the customer’s technical specifications, it is essential to combine the know‑how coming from the metal, viscous polymer, and plastic sectors.
In collaboration with its in‑house R&D laboratory and thanks to the pluriannual experience of its technicians, Agla Power Transmission has been able to develop an innovative and patented product, featuring a design and a material different from those commonly used on the market, achieving performance levels that current solutions are unable to reach.
