RUBBER DAMPER
Mounted on the crankshaft, the Rubber Torsional Vibration Damper absorbs the vibrations generated by the combustion process, protecting engine components and preserving their efficiency and durability while reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
Inside the TVD, the rubber ring dissipates energy thanks to its specific mechanical properties, in terms of its stiffness and damping capacity.
Rubber dampers are used on medium‑performance and/or engines, where lower damping needs require the use of a product with lower performance compared to a visco damper.
With over 60 years of accumulated know‑how, Agla Power Transmission specializes in the production of rubber dampers.
Although it may appear to be a simple component, it is engineered with great care because it must withstand extremely demanding conditions: high temperatures, contact with oils and external agents, and the continuous stresses generated during vehicle operation.
